Kit Wilson Says Danhausen’s Debut Bothered Some Roster Members

Some felt Danhausen’s debut took valuable PLE time.

Since joining the WWE, Danhausen has become a prolific part of their programming and marketing. However, many fans weren’t sure what to make of the star’s first appearance at the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event, emerging from a box which had appeared on TV in the weeks prior. Initially, a large portion of the company’s viewers were unimpressed by the segment, and it now seems some talent in the locker room didn’t agree that the debut should’ve taken place on a PLE.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Kit Wilson explained that not everyone was happy to give Danhausen the time on a Premium Live Event.

“I was there in Chicago for his debut, and I think that gave us a lot of question marks. It was a lot of people that enjoyed it. There was a lot of people that didn’t. Again, that’s the beautiful thing about this company, about this program is that we all get to have our own opinion. Danhausen came in and there was a lot of us backstage that didn’t feel too fond about him coming in on a pay-per-view, on a PLE… maybe taking our spots.”

Within weeks, Danhausen had started to win over sections of the WWE Universe. On April 10, he recorded his first victory by defeating Kit Wilson on SmackDown, and, following his win over Dominik Mysterio at SummerSlam, he remains undefeated in the company.

Danhausen’s ruse in popularity has led him to make multiple mainstream appearances to promote WWE. Through ESPN, the star became involved with the New York Knicks after claiming to have uncursed them before their NBA Championship ended a 53-year title drought.
