AEW’s Kris Stalander is unfortunately shelved with another injury.
Kris Statlander suffered a serious knee injury in 2020 during a match on AEW Dynamite, she would then be out for the most part of the next year. Upon making her return she has had ups and downs with momentum she has been able to gather, but most recently seemed to be building a lot of it, with a lot of fans circling her as the one who should eventually defeat Jade Cargill for the TBS Championship and hand her the first loss of her career.
Last night on AEW Dynamite, it was revealed that Kris Statlander is now injured again, but not many more details were revealed.
In a new report from PWInsider, they have given an update on what they know about the Kris Statlander injury:
“We are told she was at the taping backstage in Minneapolis yesterday but was on crutches.
The belief is she suffered a bad knee injury but we don’t have any additional details on the severity or how long she will be out at this time. The fear, obviously, is that she will require surgery. We are told this knee injury is not the same knee that previously required surgery and rehab.”

The report also noted how Statlander was in fact actually in line for what they say was a major push:
“Statlander was in the midst of what we are told was planned to be a major push.”
