‘The Protostar’ has looked back on his scary landing at AEW Worlds End.

At AEW Worlds End, Kyle Fletcher met Jon Moxley in the semi finals of 2025’s Continental Classic in what many called a late contender for match of the year. However, during the contest, ‘The Protostar’ landed awkwardly on his neck after a Dragon Suplex from the top rope in a moment which attracted a lot of criticism online. Now, Fletcher himself has reflected the much-debated rope at Worlds End.

In a new interview with World Wide Of Sports, Fletcher discussed the top rope dragon suplex at Worlds End. Here, he explained how he landed higher on his neck than intended, although he didn’t feel any more pain than usual.

“Obviously it didn’t go to plan, I understand all the points that everyone is making – it was very dangerous. In the moment, it’s hard for me because I’m not watching it happen, I’m the one actually experiencing it. I didn’t see how nasty the landing was, I was just going off how I felt and to me, it was just one of those ones where I didn’t feel anything out of the ordinary. It was a bit higher on the neck than I was intending, but it didn’t hurt and I felt fine. The referee came over and usually they will check on you once and you’re like ‘yeah no worries, it’s all good’ but then he came over a second time and asked again, which makes me think that there was maybe someone in his ear saying ‘make sure he’s OK’. I didn’t get to see the replay that everyone else saw and it wasn’t until later that I looked back and thought that was a little bit silly, wasn’t it? But you live and you learn. Coming out of it, maybe I’m a bit battered and bruised, but it’s nothing more than I’m used to dealing with as a pro wrestler.”

Fletcher has been away from our screens since Worlds End almost three weeks ago, but he’s set to make his return to programming this Saturday night. On this weekend’s pre-taped edition of Collision, the former TNT Champion will join up with his Don Callis Family teammates El Clon and Josh Alexander to take on SkyFlight.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Kyle Fletcher as soon as we hear more.
