Kyle Fletcher has given the latest update on Skye Blue’s status.
Skye Blue has been out of the ring since she suffered a broken ankle in a match against Hikaru Shida on the July 20, 2024, edition of AEW Collision. The 25-year-old has been sidelined for over eight months to this point, and an update has now emerged on her current injury status.
Speaking on Good Karma Wrestling, Kyle Fletcher, Skye Blue’s partner, discussed her recovery and said she’ll be back sooner than we think.
“Definitely challenging, but also rewarding in other ways because as she got better and as she started going through her rehab process and she was able to get back in the gym, I was able to be there for her and help her through all that kind of stuff. That was very rewarding for me. Nurse Fletcher did good. It’s now Dr. Fletcher, getting her ready for the ring. She’ll be coming sooner than we think,”

When the current state of the AEW women’s division was brought up, Fletcher said that Skye can’t wait to rejoin the action.
“You have no idea. She is like when something is cooped up for too long and ready to bust out. That’s her right now.”
-Kyle Fletcher
As yet, there’s been no official word on when we might see Skye Blue step back between the ropes, but it sounds as if it won’t be long before she returns to our screens. Of course, we continue to wish Skye the best with regard to her recovery and hope to see her back as soon as she’s medically able.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Skye Blue’s injury status as soon as we hear more.
