LA Knight feels he belongs in WWE’s main event scene as WrestleMania approaches.

With WrestleMania 42 just under two months away, the cards for this year’s two night event are gradually beginning to take shape. However, the direction of several top WWE Superstars remains uncertain.

One such Superstar is LA Knight, who, in a recent interview with ESPN’s SportsCenter, said he believes his involvement in the world title picture at WrestleMania is long overdue.

“I’ll tell you what it would mean to me. It would mean all this paid off. Everything. All the effort, all the time, all the blood, sweat, tears, all that stuff that you hear everybody talk about, it’s real. With the years and years, I’m 23 years deep in this thing right now, but with that being the case, when you talk about a marquee match like that, nothing gets bigger than WrestleMania. As far as I’m concerned, me being in the World Title picture at WrestleMania, overdue if you ask me.”

Despite being one of WWE’s most popular stars over the past three years on the main roster, Knight has yet to win a world championship, although he does have two reigns as WWE United States Champion to his name.

Knight is set to face Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, Trick Williams, Je’Von Evans, and Jey Uso inside the Elimination Chamber this Saturday in Chicago, with the winner earning a WWE Championship match against Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 42.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for LA Knight as soon as we hear more.
