Lady Frost Discusses Why She Signed With MLW

Lady Frost has explained why she signed with MLW.
After initially breaking the news at the beginning of March, Fightful Select confirmed last night that Lady Frost was set to leave All Elite Wrestling when her deal expired, April 1. However, the 41-year-old didn’t stay a free agent for long, as it emerged earlier today that she’d been picked up by Major League Wrestling. Having found her new home almost immediately after leaving AEW, Lady Frost has now discussed her move to MLW.
In a new interview with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Frost talked through the phone call from MLW which left her wanting to sign with the company.
“I was only a free agent for a matter of hours, we can say, which feels pretty good. Honestly, they called right away and it was the phone call that I think I needed to hear. They have been following me for a long time. I showed up to a taping about six years ago. I wasn’t even an extra, just to get my name out there. They remembered me and have been following my journey. I posted, I think, which created a good amount of interest, a promo package and vignette, and they said, ‘We love your work.’ I said, ‘That’s the direction that I want to go. This is kind of where I see my career going.’ They wanted to be on board with letting me be creative and who I want to be as an artist and pro wrestler. So I loved the call and I thought it was a really great fit for right now. So that’s where I landed.”

In terms of her stint with All Elite Wrestling, the star first appeared on Dynamite in 2023 having previously worked for the company on Dark back in 2020, though her appearances were always sporadic and she wasn’t able to build momentum.
Frost can now add MLW to her résumé having worked for the likes of AEW, CMLL, IMPACT, and NWA throughout her career. Attention now turns to how the company will use their newest signee, with Fightful’s initial report regarding her move indicated she is set for a number of upcoming tapings.
On the topic of free agency, it was recently reported that Dani Luna has had her released request granted by TNA. You can read more about that here.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Lady Frost signing with MLW as soon as we hear more.
