History was made at WrestleMania 37, and it inspired one of WWE’s rising stars.
On April 10, 2021, Bianca Belair challenged Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship in the main event of Night One of WrestleMania 37. It marked the first time two African American wrestlers had headlined WrestleMania, and only the second time women had closed the show, following WrestleMania 35 in 2019.
Speaking to Keith Whittier in a new interview, Lash Legend revealed that the bout between Belair and Banks at WrestleMania 37 is her favourite match of all time, explaining that it inspired her as she was just getting started in WWE.
“When I first started WWE or when I was first getting signed in the process, just being able to witness Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks, the WrestleMania match main event. So many great matches out there that I can name, but that one just speaks to me the most because I just remember where I was, what my feelings were in that moment, me visualizing that being me. It’s just so iconic. That’s number one for me, and probably always will be. That just speaks the most to me.”

Lash Legend officially joined the Friday Night SmackDown roster in November of last year after departing NXT and currently finds herself aligned with former two-time WWE Women’s Champion Nia Jax.
Bianca Belair went on to dethrone Sasha Banks to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion at WrestleMania 37 and remains one of WWE’s most popular stars, while the latter is now making history once again as Mercedes Moné in AEW.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Lash Legend as soon as we hear more.
