Slater is looking forward to facing off against Je’Von Evans.

On October 12, Leon Slater is set to defend the TNA X-Division Championship against NXT’s Je’Von Evans at Bound For Glory, taking place at the Tsongas Center in Lowell, Massachusetts.

In an interview with the Orlando Sentinel, Leon Slater discussed his upcoming match with Je’Von Evans, commenting that the similarities between the two will make it feel “like wrestling a mirror.”

“We’re almost alternate universe versions of each other, where I’m the English Je’Von Evans, and he’s the American Leon Slater. It’s almost like wrestling a mirror. So that’s an interesting concept and I’m excited to deliver on everyone’s expectations.”

At NXT vs. TNA Showdown on October 7, Leon Slater helped Team TNA, also featuring Mike Santana, Moose, and Frankie Kazarian, defeat Je’Von Evans and the rest of Team NXT, comprised of Ricky Saints, Trick Williams, and Myles Borne. The victory levelled the overall score at 2-2 on the night.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the partnership between WWE and TNA, as well as future plans for both Leon Slater and Je’Von Evans as soon as we hear more.
