In the opening match of WWE’s Money In The Bank PPV last night, Liv Morgan beat six other women to claim the Money in the Bank briefcase. Morgan then went on to cash in on Ronda Rousey in the same night to become the new Smackdown Womens Champion.

After the shock title win, a defeated Ronda hugged Liv Morgan, raised Liv’s hand and walked away, leaving Morgan to celebrate her title win. Many fans will be wondering where this leaves Liv, Ronda and the title situation.

According to Dave Meltzer on the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, the plan is for Liv Morgan to face Ronda Rousey at Summerslam.

“Right now the plan is Liv Morgan and Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam, which kind of surprises me in a lot of ways, especially because they didn’t leave with any heat. Ronda just hugged (Morgan), walked out of the ring, and let her have her moment. They’ve been building for this with Liv Morgan for a while. It is interesting though as I think almost everybody figured it was going to be Charlotte Flair and Ronda Rousey at SummerSlam and it’s not.”

-Dave Meltzer

Ronda seems to be heading for a rematch against Morgan at Summerslam. Though, Dave mentions the question over Charlotte Flair as many thought she would be the opponent for Rousey. It’s unclear when we will see Charlotte next or how she’ll feature into the title picture as the plan remains one-on-one between Morgan and Rousey going forward.
