Logan Paul Claims WWE’s Ring Mat Advertisements Make The Canvas Slippery

Logan Paul believes WWE’s ring canvas advertisements are impacting talent.
In March 2024, WWE began placing advertisements on the ring canvas, marking a major shift from the company’s long-standing presentation policy under Vince McMahon. WWE has since accelerated the practice across its programming, though one star who was involved in its introduction believes it may be having an adverse effect on its Superstars.
During the latest episode of Impaulsive, Logan Paul discussed the introduction of ring mat advertisements and claimed that their current use is making the canvas slippery.
“I’m gonna say it. By the end of the night, the middle of that ring gets really slippery with them logos painted in there. I’ll just say it, bro. I noticed. I can’t get running full speed. I gotta be really careful with my feet and my placement because the logos that they now paint in the middle of the ring, — And I know this was a thing because before [Prime was on the ring mat], we were going back and forth with WWE about whether or not it was even possible because the way they paint it. They wanted to actually stress test the mats and have people wrestle and see if it got oily. And they determined that the type of paint they used was okay and that it wasn’t gonna be slippery. But then they started using color paint as well. I don’t know what they’re using now, but I’m telling you. It’s slippery.”

Logan Paul and KSI’s Prime Hydration was the first brand to be featured on WWE’s ring mat, with the likes of Slim Jim, Riyadh Season, and Wingstop among those to follow as sponsors under TKO Group Holdings.
‘The Maverick’ currently stands as one of just two remaining active members of The Vision as WrestleMania 42 approaches, with injuries to Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed impacting plans surrounding the recent return of Seth Rollins.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE’s ring canvas sponsorship policy as soon as we hear more.
