Mark Briscoe will be competing on the January 25 edition of AEW Dynamite, which would have also been the Jay Briscoe’s 39th Birthday.
Last week, the wrestling world tragically lost Jay Briscoe in a car accident. Jay was a former two-time ROH World Champion and, at the time of his passing, was one half of the ROH Tag Team Champions. He and his brother Mark are in the conversation for the greatest tag team of all time and Jay will always be missed.
Unfortunately, The Briscoes never appeared on AEW Dynamite as part of Tony Khan’s acquisition of Ring of Honor. This was due to AEW’s TV broadcaster Warner Bros Discovery having cold feet over featuring the team due to their past controversies.
Thankfully, Tony Khan has taken to Twitter to announce that Mark Briscoe has been cleared by the new bosses at Warner Bros Discovery to appear on the upcoming edition of AEW Dynamite against one of his brother’s old foes in Jay Lethal.

Fans will be relieved to hear that Mark Briscoe will be competing tomorrow night in Kentucky. The match itself will serve as a tribute to Jay, with the company allowed to reference and pay tribute to the deceased Briscoe all night.
