Maxxine Dupri wants to join AJ Lee’s title defence against Becky Lynch.

Particularly over the last nine months, Maxxine Dupri has risen up the card in WWE. In November of last year, the 28-year-old shocked the world by winning the Women’s Intercontinental Championship from Becky Lynch, with her feud against the Irish star raising her stock among fans. Still just over two years into her in-ring career, Dupri has now looked ahead to WrestleMania 42.

Speaking to Brad Gilmore of The Collection, Dupri said she’d love to make Becky Lynch vs. AJ Lee a triple threat at this year’s WrestleMania

“If I could write it right now, I would turn that Women’s Intercontinental Championship match between AJ Lee and Becky Lynch into a Triple Threat. That would be my dream. To share the ring with AJ Lee would be unbelievable. She’s been such a wonderful mentor to me since returning to our locker room. It’s been so special. And you know, I’ve got a few hits I’d like to lay on Becky. I’ve got some pent-up aggression that I would like to unleash.”

At present, the clash between Becky Lynch and AJ Lee for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship remains a singles match, though any inclusion of Maxxine Dupri would play off the history between ‘The Alpha Babe’ and ‘The Man’. Dupri’s last match came in a losing effort to Nattie on March 16, though it remains to be seen as to whether she has a role to play at WrestleMania 42.

Lee’s defence against Lynch is currently one of three women’s matches set for WrestleMania. In addition, Rhea Ripley will challenge Jade Cargill for the WWE Women’s Championship, while Stephanie Vaquer will look to defend the Women’s World Championship against Liv Morgan.

However, in terms of more women’s matches that could be added to the card, it was recently reported that WWE are planning a four-way match for the Women’s Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Maxxine Dupri as soon as we hear more.
