Mercedes Moné has reflected on her All In match.
On July 12, at Globe Life Field, Mercedes Moné challenged Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship. Still the TBS Champion, the woman known as ‘The CEO’ came into the match still yet to be pinned or submitted since joining the All Elite Wrestling roster, but, in one of the best women’s division matches in company history, the defending champion was able to pick up the win. Now, almost two weeks on from the match, Moné has reflected on what it was like to share the ring with Storm.
In her Moné Mag, Mercedes emphasised how she’d been wanting to wrestle Toni Storm for some time before their paths crossed, and, following their match, she can’t wait to do it again.
“I’d been waiting for this one for a long time—five years, maybe more. Part of the reason I signed with AEW was because I wanted to wrestle Toni Storm. She’s become such an incredible character and a true star. When the match finally happened at All In, everything felt aligned. The build-up, the energy, the entrance -was all perfect. Even before the bell rang, I could feel how special it was going to be. Wrestling ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm was everything I hoped it would be—and more. And as I walked back through the curtain, one thought kept repeating in my head: ‘I want to do that again. I can’t wait to wrestle her again.’”

While we aren’t long removed from Storm’s victory over Moné, the TBS Champion is still someone many fans envision to be a future AEW Women’s World Champion, so it may not be long before Mercedes finds himself across the ring from the current champion once more. For now, though, the star is looking to bounce back from her first defeat in the company.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Mercedes Moné as soon as we hear more.
