Mike Bailey believes Ricochet to be among AEW’s best talkers.
Ricochet is someone who has significantly altered his presentation since he arrived in AEW. Particularly during his feud with Swerve Strickland, the 36-year-old received praise for his character work, with his ability on the microphone also drawing a lot of admiration. Now, an upcoming opponent of ‘The One And Only’ has complimented his recent performances.
Speaking to WrestleZone, ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey refused to retaliate against a recent insult thrown at him by Ricochet, instead choosing to focus on the positives.
“I don’t want to go into a war of insults, right? I think that that’s a lame way to go about promoting a wrestling match. I mean, I think we have enough good sides, Ricochet and I, we can just rely on that and I mean I think there’s a lot, there’s a lot of good to say about Ricochet and I’d like, rather focus on that, right? Like, obviously he’s done a really, really good job, talking about his character work, right? The new persona he developed and how that really helped him stand out as a wrestler. I think he is right now one of the best promos in AEW, and one of the promos I can’t wait to hear from him is how unfair it was that he lost to Speedball Mike Bailey because I kick too hard.”

‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey and Ricochet will cross paths this Sunday at AEW Dynasty in a three-way match also involving Kenny Omega. ‘The Best Bout Machine’ will put his International Championship on the line with both challengers looking to win their first singles championship in All Elite Wrestling.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Ricochet and Mike Bailey ahead of Dynasty as soon as we hear more.
