Mike Santana expresses gratitude.
In March 2024, Mike Santana’s AEW exit was confirmed. The 34-year-old was one of Tony Khan’s earliest acquisitions, but, after feeling as if he wasn’t making enough progress in the company, Santana asked for his release. Despite this, he’s now expressed gratitude for the opportunity afforded to him by All Elite Wrestling.
Speaking to Sean Ross Sapp, Santana discussed how much he learned from his time in AEW, emphasising how much he took from the experience.
“I was super thankful for it, because I was asked before, ‘Do you feel like you wasted your time?’ Not at all, man, because I looked at that as a learning experience. A waste of time would be if I didn’t take anything from it. I took so much from it. I got to learn from so many people. I got to work with so many people. I don’t really look down much on my time there. Of course, there was good days, there was bad days. But overall, I learned, and that knowledge is what I’ve been able to use also to get me to where I’m at. Everything paid off in the long run. At the end of the day, when it comes to the very first show and the very first main event, my name will always be there. I’m happy.”

Now, Mike Santana finds himself in TNA, and has also made appearances in NXT as part of their working relationship. Although he unsuccessfully challenged for the TNA World Championship at Slammiversary, Santana is someone many have earmarked for future success as he looks to continue his momentum as a singles star.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Mike Santana as soon as we hear more.
