MJF: AEW Allows Me To Be Myself, I Don’t Think I’ll Ever Leave

MJF claims he won’t ever leave AEW since they let him be himself.

Particularly during his first reign with the AEW World Championship, MJF regularly talked about the bidding war of 2024 in the lead up to his initial contract’s expiry date. However, after returning at Double Or Nothing 2024, the AEW original revealed he’d re-signed with the promotion, halting speculation over whether he could move elsewhere. Now, MJF has discussed why he thinks he may never leave All Elite Wrestling.

In a new interview with Adrian Ochoa of ABC 7 KVIA, MJF said the ability to be himself is what keeps him with AEW.

“What keeps me at AEW is my ability to be myself. There’s no leash on me. I don’t have to worry about anybody sitting me down and telling me what I’m doing right or wrong. My boss knows I’m the draw. I have the World Title right now. Ratings are up, ticket sales are up. I wonder why? And he lets me do my thing, so I don’t think I’ll ever leave.”

MJF is currently in the midst of his second reign as AEW World Champion, having won the title at Worlds End 2025. The star has overcome both Bandido and Brody King since the start of the year, and is set to defend the gold against Hangman Page at Revolution should he get past Kevin Knight on tonight’s AEW Dynamite.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on MJF as soon as we hear more.
