Montez Ford believes that he and Angelo Dawkins still have a lot more to accomplish as a team.
Ford and Dawkins, The Street Profits, head into WWE SummerSlam with the opportunity to dethrone the current Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos (Jimmy and Jey), and bring home their fourth set of tag team gold in WWE.
Promoting SummerSlam, Montez Ford was interviewed by Sports Illustrated for their “This Week in Wrestling” column. There he was asked about the occasional conversations about him focusing on the singles division. Ford noted that he’s still not ready to shift his focus towards that as he feels that he still has a lot to accomplish as a member of The Street Profits.
The difference between singles wrestling and being part of a tag team is that all the attention is on you. I’m not ready to shift my focus yet. There is still a lot left for me to attain with Dawkins. SummerSlam is a huge opportunity. We want to make that night special.
