It now seems as if the Motor City Machine Guns will join WWE.

In March, it was reported that the Motor City Machine Guns had finished up with TNA. For around six months, speculation has run wild regarding the duo’s next destination, with both WWE and AEW believed to be interested in bringing the team into their respective companies, but reports have now emerged detailing where, and potentially when, we may see Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley show up next.

Per PWN, it’s believed that the Motor City Machine Guns are will soon arrive in WWE. It’s noted that they would be heading to NXT, and may even make their debut on the brand’s CW Network premiere.

“PW Nexus received word a few days back from a couple sources that stated that the legendary TNA Tag Team, Motor City Machine Guns are indeed WWE bound, with an anticipated debut on the CW Network for NXT.”

On AEW’s interest, the report says that talks were held, with it even looking like they’d land there at one point. However, the talks ultimately fell through.

Both members of MCMG also had talks with AEW and for a short bit it seemed likely they would sign with Tony Khans promotion, but those talks had fallen through.

Sabin and Shelley are among the most iconic tag teams of their generation, and their acquisition will boost any company’s tag division. Should they be planned for NXT’s CW debut, we may only have 19 more days to go until the Motor City Machine Guns take their next step.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the future of the Motor City Machine Guns as soon as we hear more.
