Multiple Names Reportedly Waiting To Sign With AEW

AEW are believed to be lining up at least seven new signings.

On July 23, the names who departed WWE in the post-WrestleMania talent cuts officially became free agents after the expiry of their non-compete clauses. As such, rumours have began to swirl over where those affected may go next, with AEW naturally likely to be a popular destination for anyone exiting WWE. Now, an update has emerged suggesting

According to Jake Jeremy of F4WOnline, it’s believed there are at least seven names waiting to be signed by All Elite Wrestling.

“I’ve learned after speaking to sources that there are at least 7 names who are currently “waiting” to be signed by AEW. As of yet, I’ve been unable to confirm exactly when the deals are expected to be done nor who the 7 names/acts are specifically. One source also confirmed that there “may be more, but I only know of 7 personally,” so there could be a big move to grab more talent for AEW/ROH in the next few weeks.”

Of course, not everyone who has suddenly become available will be on the shopping list for AEW, but, of this batch of releases, the Motor City Machine Guns jump off the page as talent that would likely make the move to All Elite Wrestling. Outside that, many expect Austin Creed and Kofi, formerly of The New Day, to arrive in the promotion soon, though it’s worth noting news of their WWE departures broke after these releases had taken place.

With the Redemption pay-per-view this Sunday, many may be hoping to see some new faces appear in AEW for the first time during the show. Should this happen, it’ll harken back to some of the exciting debuts that have happened on pay-per-view in the company’s past. In particular, the respective debuts of both Adam Cole and Bryan Danielson to close All Out 2021 live long in the memory of AEW fans.
