MVP is sticking with AEW.
Having left WWE in August 2024, MVP debuted for All Elite Wrestling last September. Soon followed by Shelton Benjamin and Bobby Lashley, the trio reunited as ‘The Hurt Syndicate’ and have found success in the company’s tag team division, becoming a key part of the weekly shows. After a strong first year, we now know that MVP isn’t going anywhere.
Speaking to Adventure Gamers, MVP confirmed he’s signed an extension in AEW.
“I want to say thank you to Tony Khan, because recently I signed an extension and I’ll be with AEW for quite a while in my current capacity and hopefully beyond in a managerial capacity and to whatever extent, possibly behind the scenes. I’m very happy where I’m at right now in my career at this stage to be able to continue to contribute to the business and make money with my friends and entertain at the level that we’re still able to maintain. I appreciate Tony Khan for giving me, Bobby and Shelton an opportunity to get the team back together for a final run and the future looks bright.”
-MVP
While he primarily performs as a manager in AEW, MVP has recently competed in trios action alongside Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin, with this particularly being the case during their feud with The Demand. While he’s had just 5 matches in the company, it’s likely that The Hurt Syndicate will eye up the AEW World Trios Championships down the line.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on MVP’s AEW contract status as soon as we hear more.
