Montel Vontavious Porter isn’t backing down on his comments about Triple H.
Earlier this year, MVP claimed he had “no respect” for Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque due to the way he views talent of colour, citing the use of Bobby Lashley as an example.
Speaking to TMZ’s Inside the Ring, MVP declined to go into detail regarding his comments, although he left no room for interpretation as to his feelings towards WWE’s chief content officer.
“I’m gonna address that on my platform, on Marking Out with MVP and Dwayne Swayze. I stand by those words. I have zero respect for him, personally or professionally. And when I tell why, then people will be like, ‘Okay, that makes sense.’ If I say something about you, I will say it to you, and if you come and ask me about what I said, I’m not going to deny I said it. I’m going to say yes, I said that. Now what would you like to talk further? Where do we go from here? If I say something about you and you come and ask me about it, I’m not going to deny that I said it, and I’ll just leave it at that.”
-MVP
MVP departed WWE on August 16th, 2024, following the expiration of his contract. He would officially join All Elite Wrestling on September 25th later that year, where he has since formed The Hurt Syndicate alongside Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.
The trio once stood together in WWE as part of The Hurt Business, but according to MVP, plans for a reunion were scrapped under Triple H’s leadership following the regime change.
Elsewhere during the interview, MVP shared his thoughts on WWE counterprogramming AEW events. You can read more about that here.
