Myles Borne Comments On Comparisons To Randy Orton

Myles Borne has addressed comparisons to former WWE Champion Randy Orton.
Since joining WWE back in 2022, Myles Borne has consistently proven himself as one of NXT’s standout performers and now finds himself holding the NXT North American Championship. Throughout his rise, fans have often compared Borne to a young Randy Orton, and the champion himself has now addressed the similarities between the pair.
Speaking to Denise Salcedo, Myles Borne was asked for his thoughts on the comparisons between himself and Randy Orton. Borne noted that the comparisons have followed him throughout his life and, while fun, made it clear that he wants to stand out in his own right.
“A lot of people think that the comparison started just here [in WWE]. That’s actually not true. I remember growing up, people actually stopped me and my mother in public and would ask if I was related to Randy, and I would just laugh about it. Like, why would you think that? And me and my mother would just look at each other, ‘That was weird,’ — Then I got signed, and one of my pictures got leaked about being signed, and that just took off. The blind Randy Orton, baby viper, whatever. It was funny. It’s cool to be compared to him because he’s such a legend. He is someone who I grew up watching. He inspired me, and he’s one of the reasons I’m here now. Like, I wanted to do what he did. I was just in such awe of what he did, and he’s so good at what he does, — I like the comparison. It is funny to me because me and Randy talk about it and we’ve joked about it before. It’s fun, but it’s something that I like, it’s cool for a little bit. But I also want to make sure that I do what I have to do to make my own path so that people remember me and can separate me and Randy and say, ‘Yeah, Randy is this, and Myles Borne is this.’”
