Nikki Bella Reportedly Suffered An Ankle Injury During WWE SmackDown

WWE Hall of Famer Nikki Bella is dealing with an ankle injury.

The March 27 edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown saw The Bella Twins defeat Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, during which Nikki Bella appeared to suffer an injury.

PWInsider is now reporting that Nikki Bella did indeed suffer a legitimate ankle injury during the bout, although the extent of the injury is not clear at this stage.

“The belief among those we spoke with is that Bella rolled her left ankle during an exchange with Charlotte Flair. She was checked out backstage after the segment but we have not heard about the severity of the issue.”

Following the match, The Irresistible Forces, the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship holders, hit the ring, with Nia Jax noticeably careful when removing Nikki Bella from the ring, before Lyra Valkyria and Bayley made the save.

With WrestleMania 42 rapidly approaching, reports indicate that a four-way match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship between The Irresistible Forces, The Bella Twins, Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and Lyra Valkyria and Bayley is planned for the event. You can read more about that here.
