
TNA’s full-scale invasion of NXT looks set to continue.
This past Tuesday’s episode of NXT ended with the TNA roster interrupting the Winner Takes All match between NXT Champion Oba Femi and TNA World Champion Trick Williams, and it seems that the war between the two promotions is just getting started.
According to BodySlam, discussions have been held regarding a PLE or TV special involving both NXT and TNA as a throwback to 2001’s Invasion PPV.

As highlighted within the report, this follows WWE filing to trademark ‘Invasion’ on September 24, with the full description found below:

On top of their ongoing relationship with WWE, TNA are also optimistic of securing a TV deal in the near future, with Santino Marella claiming that such a deal would put them ahead of AEW’s as the United States’ number two professional wrestling promotion. You can read more about that here.
