Oba Femi Fires Back At CM Punk On WWE SummerSlam Post-Show
After an impressive victory over “The Beast” Brock Lesnar inside Hell in a Cell to close Summerslam Night One, fans in attendance for the post-show indicated to WWE Champion CM Punk that they want to see “The Ruler” step up to his gold. On this, the Chicagoan told Femi down the camera that if he wanted to use his delayed King Of The Ring title opportunity on the main champion to come for him rather than Roman Reigns. When asked to respond, Femi didn’t back down from the challenge.
Speaking on the Summerslam Post-Show, Oba Femi said CM Punk’s verbal jabs don’t intimidate him.
“You want to drop pipebombs and all that stuff, but understand one thing. Your bombs don’t work when it comes to Oba Femi. You are gifted on this mic and so am I.”

CM Punk, who was able to retain his WWE Championship at Summerslam against Cody Rhodes in a near 30-minute battle, seemingly has a long list of superstars ready to challenge him. First up will be the winner of Sami Zayn vs. Finn Bálor, as the two former world champions look to become the number one contender tonight at SummerSlam Sunday, though it doesn’t stop there.
During the Undisputed WWE Championship match, Randy Orton made his stunning return by hitting an RKO on Cody Rhodes mid-match. With “The Viper” having been absent since losing to “The American Nightmare” at WrestleMania 42, it’s likely his pursuit of the gold isn’t over yet.
Regardless of whether or not he goes after Punk, Oba Femi is certainly on a hot streak at the moment. He won the 2026 King of the Ring and has defeated Brock Lesnar twice, something many superstars can’t match. While he’s yet to use his guaranteed championship match, there’s no doubt he will be in the running for a future world title shot down the line.
