‘The Nigerian Giant’ isn’t feeling the love.

Omos has been absent from WWE television since competing in the 2024 Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal during WrestleMania SmackDown on April 5.

Speaking to MuscleManMalcom in a new interview, Omos claimed that his absence from WWE television is due to a lack of fan interest compared to the international markets of the company’s partner promotions.

“You people don’t like me. That’s why I’m not on TV. The moment you guys change the tune, I’m back on your TV screens. Until then, I’m gonna go to where I’m loved. They love me overseas. They love me everywhere else. I went to Japan, had a blast. I went to Mexico, had a blast. Did a little side gig in NXT. It was fun, but you know, they don’t have love for your boy. The Omosapiens do, but the more people become Omosapiens, then maybe I just swoop back on your TV. So, who knows?”

During his time away from WWE, Omos has competed for the company’s partner promotions. His first stop was Pro Wrestling NOAH in Japan, where he joined Team 2000X earlier this year and captured the GHC Tag Team Championship alongside Jack Morris. The pair later vacated the titles after Omos was recalled by WWE for the 2025 Royal Rumble, an event he ultimately did not appear on.

On August 16 at AAA’s TripleMania XXXIII, Omos entered and won the Copa Bardahl, last eliminating La Parka after a light-hearted exchange with Microman.

Omos has recently been working the NXT Live circuit opposite former NXT Champion Oba Femi and revealed in an interview last month that he knew the pair had chemistry the first time they shared a locker room. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on future plans for Omos as soon  as we hear more.
