A Lucha Bros reunion is still high on Penta’s list of priorities.

Since joining WWE in 2025, Penta and Rey Fenix have mostly competed in singles action on RAW and SmackDown, though fans have long been anticipating the reunion of The Lucha Bros.

Appearing on the latent episode of the Battleground Podcast, Penta was once again asked about a potential reunion with his brother, noting that while both are currently enjoying their singles careers, the idea of The Lucha Bros joining forces in WWE remains a mouthwatering prospect.

“I love my brother, I love Lucha Bros. Now, I enjoy my singles career. I think my brother [does] too because I don’t know, maybe 15 years ago was the last time when we worked separate. After that, every single match, every single company, every single everything was together with the Lucha Brothers. As a tag team, we’ve conquered everything around the world but now the most important thing is here in WWE, the best company in the universe. Imagine the best tag team in the universe together again in the best company in the universe.”

-Penta

While neither has won singles gold in WWE so far, Penta and Rey Fenix enjoyed major success as The Lucha Brothers, capturing tag team titles in AEW, Impact Wrestling, PWG, ROH, AAA, MLW, and beyond.

Elsewhere during the podcast appearance, Penta revealed that he’s open to the possibility of a return to TNA Wrestling through their partnership with WWE. You can read more about that here.
