There are backstage concerns about Triple H’s foray into politics.
On July 31, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque was officially announced as a member of the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness & Nutrition. WWE’s Head of Creative joined President Donald Trump, Vice President JD Vance, Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, and other council members at the White House for the occasion.
In today’s edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that there is concern among some within WWE that Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque’s growing political commitments may be impacting the company. However, a source close to Levesque denied these claims, insisting that his focus on WWE remains unchanged.
“Paul Levesque has missed some shows of late and it’s led to people saying his political priorities (not wrestling politics but US politics) have started to hurt the company. One person close to Levesque disagreed with this claim, saying that he has not missed any creative meetings and his schedule is all worked out in advance. So creative meetings of late that he hasn’t been at were not missed, but known in advance.”

Elsewhere within the Observer Newsletter, Meltzer revealed that the belief within WWE is that Triple H is trying to position himself as the company’s version of Dana White. You can read more about that here.
On the subject of Triple H’s White House involvement, Meltzer also reported that several prominent government officials are expected to attend John Cena’s retirement match at Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13, though President Trump’s attendance has yet to be confirmed.
