Plans Are Reportedly Underway For A Women’s Intercontinental Championship In WWE

A Women’s Intercontinental Championship is believed to be in the works.

On the November 8 edition of WWE SmackDown, Nick Aldis officially introduced the Women’s United States Championship to the blue brand, with a tournament currently underway to determine its first champion. Now, it appears as if we may not be long away from the women of Monday Night RAW will soon also have another prize to fight for.

Per PWInsider Elite, it’s believed that there are plans to introduce a Women’s Intercontinental Championship to the RAW brand in the near future.

It’s mentioned that the new title is likely to come along once SmackDown’s Women’s United States Championship has been established. As for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, possible first title holders include IYO SKY and Lyra Valkyria.
