An update has emerged on a huge match which could be on the cards for WrestleMania.
With WrestleMania 41 just five months away, fans are starting to wonder what may be in store when WWE comes to Las Vegas on April 19th and 20th next year. The company have a myriad of top stars to choose from to fill out the ‘Mania 41 card, and a new update has indicated that, although it’s not confirmed, a major match could be in store for the next instalment of the ‘Show Of Shows’.
Per Fightful Select, it’s believed that the prospect of CM Punk vs Roman Reigns has been heavily discussed for WrestleMania 41, with the report also noting that Punk himself had been hopeful of doing the match.
“Fightful Select’s Sean Ross Sapp heard via WWE sources that CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns at next year’s WrestleMania has been heavily discussed. We’d heard a number of weeks ago that this wasn’t particularly the plan, but had been adjusted of late.”

At present, Punk and Reigns have only ever had one singles match in the past as Roman secured a win over the Chicago-born star on ‘Old School RAW’ in 2014, but the pair have shared the ring in multi-man matches on 11 separate occasions.
Away from the ring, Punk’s infamous interview with Colt Cabana post-his WWE exit in 2014 memorably featured the now 46-year-old detailing how he was told to ‘make Roman look strong’ when they squared off. Also, in 2021, Reigns stated that the ‘Second City Saint’ didn’t move the needle during his first WWE run as well as John Cena did which may now add an extra edge to a potential ‘Mania clash between the pair.
As always we’ll aim to provide any further updates on possible WrestleMania match between CM Punk and Roman Reigns as soon as we hear more.
