On the March 2nd, 2022 episode of AEW Dynamite, Tony Khan revealed that he had purchased Ring of Honor from Sinclair Broadcast Group, with the deal being officially consummated on May 4th.
Thus far, the Tony Khan-owned ROH have only presented one show since the change of ownership, that being Supercard of Honor XV on April 1st earlier this year, a show that saw Jonathan Gresham cement himself as the undisputed ROH World Champion.
Fightful Select have now provided an update on when we can expect to see ROH return, with a date set for late July in what will be the return of one of ROH’s classic PPV outings.
“Fightful has been told by AEW talent that the weekend of July 23 is targeted for ROH’s return to PPV. As we’ve heard things so far, they’ve been told that ROH Death Before Dishonor will take place that weekend from Lowell, Massachusetts.”

Tony Khan has made no secrets of his desire to reignite the ROH PPV calendar following Supercard of Honor XV, and Fightful also revealed that ROH World Champion Jonathan Gresham believes the company will be making a return shortly.
We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Ring of Honor, with fan intrigue certainly higher than it has been in recent years following the completion of Tony Khan’s takeover.
