AEW & NJPW will be collaborating together to put on a special PPV named “Forbidden Door”. With both rosters of talent being stacked with some of the world’s best, ever since the announcement of the show, fans have fantasy booked and guessed what matches will be on the show.
One of the big questions of course was “who will CM Punk be facing?” A question that was seemingly answered last night in the for of Hiroshi Tanahashi.
As for the the rest of the card, it has remained a mystery. However, in an update from Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, he said that he had seen a potential lineup for the show & named 2 of the big matches on the card that likely could be happening:
“I had seen a lineup. Which was interesting because it was Punk & Tanahashi for the AEW title, and the other match was Okada & Adam Page which actually could be a hell of a match for the IWGP title, so I don’t know if that will happen, change, or whatever. Then the rest of the show is probably a lot of tag matches.”

The potential of a CM Punk vs Hiroshi Tanahashi got huge reactions last night, especially with online wrestling fans. Its definitely a dream match that many didn’t expect to ever happen not too long ago.
Adam Page vs Kazuchika Okada will also be something to get wrestling fans fired up worldwide if it is to happen. That genuinely feels like it could be a potential match of the year contender.
