Aminata already has her sights set on next year’s Blood & Guts.
On November 12, AEW Dynamite hosted the first-ever women’s Blood & Guts match, featuring the team of Marina Shafir, Megan Bayne, Mercedes Moné, and the Triangle of Madness battling Kris Statlander, Toni Storm, Willow Nightingale, Jamie Hayter, Harley Cameron, and Mina Shirakawa. Queen Aminata had originally been slated for the babyface team before being sidelined with an injury.
On the latest episode of her weekly YouTube blog, Queen Aminata spoke with AEW Women’s World Champion Kris Statlander about the historic match, revealing that while she was frustrated she couldn’t take part, she was proud of what the competitors accomplished and hopeful she’ll get her chance to compete in Blood & Guts next year.
“I still can’t process it honestly, ‘cause I was watching in Gorilla and I had so many emotions in my head and my body. I was so mad and sad and frustrated that I wasn’t part of the match. But, the girls were doing so freaking amazing that I was happy and excited at the same time. It’s just like such a weird feeling. I just wanted to be in there and just bleed and do all this crazy amazing stuff that they were doing, but at the same time, I was supporting my girls, too. I am super duper proud of all of us. Like, thank you AEW. Thank you for supporting women’s wrestling. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I hope we do it next year again. I hope I’m part of it next year, man. This is so freaking crazy… I don’t even want to do regular matches anymore. I just want to do these type of matches. I just want to bleed and bump on chairs and tables and the floor.”

The heel team ultimately scored the win when Toni Storm surrendered to protect Mina Shirakawa from a vicious assault by Marina Shafir and Megan Bayne.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on plans for next year’s AEW Blood & Guts as soon as we hear more.
