Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland were reportedly set to do battle at Double Or Nothing as recent as a few weeks ago.
The pairing of Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland came to an end at Full Gear 2022, following weeks of tension between the two. Known collectively as ‘Swerve In Our Glory’, they picked up a reign with the AEW World Tag Team Championships and became a key part of the company’s tag division throughout last year. However, once their inevitable breakup took place, the pair never had a one on one match to settle their differences.
Now, as written by Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer, it’s been revealed that a match between Lee and Swerve was pencilled in for this Sunday’s Double Or Nothing pay-per-view as recent as a few weeks ago, though, this hasn’t transpired and instead both men will be part of the 21-man battle royal for Orange Cassidy’s International Championship.
“There is a 21 man Blackjack Battle Royal for the International title. Those in the Battle Royal are champion Orange Cassidy along with Big Bill, Lee Moriarty, Jay White, Juice Robinson, Ricky Starks, Tony Nese, Ari Daivari, Josh Woods, Penta, Fenix, Bandido, Komander, Chuck Taylor, Trent Baretta, Butcher, Blade, Kip Sabian, Brian Cage, Keith Lee, Swerve Strickland and Dustin Rhodes. So that means no Strickland vs. Lee match which had at one point been earmarked for the show even as late as a few weeks ago.”

The only time the two have shared the ring since the breakup of their tag team was when Lee teamed with Dustin Rhodes to battle Strickland and Parker Boudreaux on an edition of Rampage in March.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any updates on both Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland as well as future plans for the two as we hear more.
