Three of WWE’s biggest icons could be at WrestleMania 40.
WrestleMania is usually littered with top stars. Whether it be those in the main event vying for the top titles or performers of previous eras reuniting at the Show of Shows, WWE’s spectacle event usually features as many icons as possible, and there has been a suggestion that three former WrestleMania headliners and company legends may find themselves heavily involved with this year’s two-night extravaganza emanating from Philadelphia on April 6 and 7.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is a reported belief in WWE that Steve Austin, John Cena and The Undertaker will all have a role to play at the 40th annual WrestleMania, although it isn’t yet known what they’d be scheduled to do.
“Nothing is official but the belief right now is that Steve Austin, Undertaker and John Cena will have something at WrestleMania in some form. At press time, there is no creative locked in for Cena and Austin at this moment, or if there is it’s a well-guarded secret.”

It’s mentioned that whether Austin, Undertaker and Cena are a part of WrestleMania 40 or not is largely down to how much they’d be willing to do and for what price. For the 16-time star in particular, it’s noted that any upcoming movie commitments may determine just how physically active he could be.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on potential WrestleMania involvement for Cena, Austin and The Undertaker as soon as we hear more.
