An update has emerged on AAA’s creative structure.
In April, WWE acquired AAA in a move that shook the industry. Since then, we’ve seen performers from RAW, SmackDown and NXT appear in the Mexican promotion at events such as Worlds Collide and Triplemanía as viewers get to grips with what the company looks like under WWE’s ownership. Now, an update has emerged giving fans insight into the booking and creative process of AAA since its takeover.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it’s believed that Paul Levesque heads up AAA creative, with Jeremy Borash, Konnan, Dorian Roldan and The Undertaker part of the team.
“The new AAA creative structure is that the people in charge of creative is Paul Levesque at the top, with his main creative help being Jeremy Borash, Mark Calaway (Undertaker), Charles Ashenoff (Konnan) and Dorian Roldan. The key producers for the brand are now Matt Bloom, Pete Dunne, Chavo Guerrero Jr., Jack Melendez (Moody Jack), Juan Rivera (Savio Vega), Jose Cordero (Lince Dorado) and one other person whose name I don’t know. There is some input from Shawn Michaels to Levesque, but I was told while he’s been at shows, he’s not really involved because he’s so heavily invested in NXT.”

In terms of what’s next, AAA will hold the second ‘Worlds Collide’ under WWE’s ownership on September 12. The show will take place in Las Vegas and is set to feature El Hijo del Vikingo vs Dominik Mysterio for the AAA Mega Championship.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on AAA under WWE’s ownership as soon as we hear more.
