Rey Fenix is reportedly now a free agent.
Last month, it emerged that Ricky Starks, Malakai Black, Miro and Leyla Hirsch had all left All Elite Wrestling. However, notable by his absence from the departures was Rey Fenix, particularly since the former International Champion had made it clear that he wanted to leave the company through various social media posts. Now, it appears as if the 34-year-old has secured his exit from AEW.
Per PWInsider, it’s believed that Rey Fenix is now a free agent following his removal from the AEW roster page earlier today.
“Rey Fenix was removed from the AEW website roster today and is now a free agent, PWInsider.com has confirmed.”

The news comes just days after it was reported that WWE had started to make creative plans for Rey Fenix and it seems as if it may not be long before The Lucha Brothers are reunited. At present, Fenix’s brother Penta is feuding with both Pete Dunne and Ludwig Kaiser on Monday Night RAW, so his arrival could prove to come at the perfect time depending on how quickly WWE are able to have him at their disposal.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Rey Fenix becoming a free agent as soon as we hear more.
