Rey Fenix has seemingly joined WWE.

On March 3, it emerged via PWInsider that Rey Fenix had become a free agent. It came following months of frustration for the former AEW International Champion as he looked to depart the company in order to pursue a move to WWE which would see him reunite with hie brother Penta. Now, it seems as if he’s finally been able to put pen to paper.

First broken by Fightful Select Espanol, it’s believed that Rey Fenix has now signed with WWE.

“Rey Fenix is officially signed, Fightful Select Espanol has confirmed.”

-Fightful Select

While signing with WWE will see him join the same company as Monday Night RAW’s Penta, there were teases for Fenix on a recent episode of SmackDown and the report notes that the 34-year-old is expected to start on the blue brand. It’s currently unclear when exactly Fenix will first appear on WWE TV but, with his medicals with the company now done, it likely won’t be too long before he’s back on our screens.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on WWE signing Rey Fenix as soon as we hear more.
