Rey Fenix’s AEW contract is set to last until well into 2025.

The future of The Lucha Brothers has long been talked about since reports emerged early in the summer linking them with a possible move to WWE once their AEW contracts had expired, and it recently emerged that Penta’s current deal will finish next week. However, despite the contract status of his brother, it seems Rey Fenix will be tied to All Elite Wrestling for a while more.

Per an update from Fightful Select, it’s believed that Rey Fenix’s AEW contract runs well into next year due to the injury time added on to it.

“When speaking to those with knowledge of the situation, it was claimed to Fightful that Rey Fenix’s AEW contract extends well into next year due to the injury time that will be added to it.”

Despite adding time onto his deal, Fightful note that they haven’t heard of any creative plans being made for Fenix as yet, and it remains unclear as to whether the former International Champion will return to TV before his contract expires in 2025.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Rey Fenix’s AEW contract status as soon as we hear more.
