Rhea Ripley Confirms She Has Undergone Knee Surgery

Rhea Ripley announces she’s undergone surgery.
Shortly following Clash In Italy, Rhea Ripley confirmed she’d suffered a slight tear in her meniscus, with it believed she was set for a significant spell on the sidelines. Having been unable to compete since the start of June, WWE have gone as far as to crown an interim WWE Women’s Champion Ripley’s absence, leading to fan speculation on her status. Now, “The Eradicator” has now shared an update on her condition with fans.
Taking to Instagram, Rhea Ripley has explained that for the first time in her career she has gone under the knife for her knee injury, saying:
“After just under 14 year in wrestling and doing sports my entire life… It’s caught up to me. Surgery was never a first option for me, but it got to the point that it was needed…First one down…Hopefully no more…I’ve survived, now it’s time to start thriving again so I can get back to what I love to do! See you all down the road.”

The Australian superstar has been a fan favourite for years, regardless of whether she was positioned as a heel or face. She is a 4-time world champion in the company, despite only being on the main roster since 2021, and, at just 29-years-old, Ripley will continue to be one of the company’s top stars for decades to come once she’s able to return to the ring.
In the meantime, Chelsea Green will reign as the Interim Women’s Champion, with it currently unclear when Rhea Ripley will be medically cleared.
