The former Women’s World Champion’s potential return time frame has been revealed.
Rhea Ripley has been absent from in-ring action since suffering a sprained AC joint during Liv Morgan’s backstage attack on the April 8th edition of Monday Night RAW.
We now have additional information on her recovery, as in today’s issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that Ripley is rehabbing her shoulder instead of getting surgery, with her current return timetable seeing her back in the ring before SummerSlam, although this could all change depending on her recovery progress.
“Ripley is rehabbing her shoulder rather than having surgery. Right now she’s not scheduled back for SummerSlam but we were also told if she heals up faster than expected or if the storyline changes to where they need her for an appearance it’s still possible. If rehab can’t mend the shoulder enough, she could need surgery.”

In her absence, Becky Lynch captured the vacant Women’s World Championship, only to lose the title to Liv Morgan at King & Queen of the Ring following interference from Ripley’s Judgement Day stablemate Dominik Mysterio, with Morgan’s romantic advances towards Mysterio likely to factor into Ripley’s eventual return plans.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on the injury status of Rhea Ripley as soon as we hear more, and we wish her all the best in her recovery.
