Ricky Saints has addressed how quickly his WWE debut came together.

First appearing on the February 11 edition of NXT, fans were stunned when Ricky Saints made his WWE debut by emerging through the crowd just 24 hours after his AEW departure was confirmed. Having been in the company for almost a month, the 35-year-old has now revealed more about how his move to WWE came together and what his goals are for the future.

Speaking to The Ringer, Ricky Saints recalled the extremely quick turnaround that saw him sign with WWE so soon after leaving AEW. He confirmed that he hadn’t spoken to the company prior to becoming a free agent.

“It was a very quick turnaround. People think that was days in advance. I had never spoken to WWE at all before any of that. I never got on the phone with anyone before that, blah, blah, blah. So all of that, when I say it happened so fast, it happened so fast and it never let up off the gas.”

As for the future, Ricky Saints said he’s hopeful of being given the ball in WWE, meaning he has eyes on the top gold.

“My aspirations in AEW were to just be given a chance and given the ball fully. I want that in WWE, obviously. I want the WWE Championship, but along the way, the Intercontinental title would be great.”

While Saints has already made a strong start in WWE, picking up the NXT North American Championship on April 1, the star will be aiming for a spot at WrestleMania 42 when the ‘Show of Shows’ arrives in his hometown in 2026.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Ricky Saints as soon as we hear more.
