After being attacked by Bron Breakker, Ricochet has a reason to return to WWE.
Last weekend, news first broke from PWInsider that Ricochets had given his notice to WWE regarding his intention to not re-sign when his contract is up this summer. Since then, speculation over his future has only increased, particularly as he was seemingly written off of TV on this week’s Monday Night RAW at the hands of Bron Breakker, although it seems that WWE have left the door open should Ricochet wish to return.
Per Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE were prepared for any outcome and had ideas for Ricochet if he decided to stay with the company. It’s noted that the nature of his segment on RAW provides a good reason for him to come back if necessary.
“WWE was not wanting to lose him, obviously, and the angle was done to give him a great reason to return if he had second thoughts. WWE had ideas for him both if he was staying as well as ways to write him out, but those in WWE confirmed to us that the belief there was he was leaving.”

With there still being some time to go until Ricochet’s WWE deal expires, it’s possible that he re-emerges for the company in the coming weeks. However, the prevailing belief is that the Ricochet made his final WWE appearance this past Monday. As of yet, there is no official news regarding his future.
