Rising HAYATO will miss the remainder of the Zennichi Jr. Festival after suffering a concussion during his main event clash with Seigo Tachibana on Friday.

HAYATO had an incredibly physical contest with Tachibana on Friday, with several moments raising concern for the former AJPW Junior Champion. Chief among them came early in the match when he struck his head while attempting a springboard moonsault.

The match continued despite the series of blows to HAYATO’s head, eventually coming to an end after more than 20 minutes of action.

Unlike Atsuki Aoyagi, who withdrew from the Zennichi Jr. Festival after suffering an ACL injury and was replaced by Masaaki Mochizuki, Rising HAYATO will not be replaced. His remaining matches against Yasutaka Yano and MUSASHI will instead be recorded as losses, leaving him with four points to finish his block campaign.

Block A is currently led by Seigo Tachibana and MUSASHI, who both sit on five points.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Rising HAYATO’s status as soon as we hear more, and we wish him all the best in his recovery.
