Road Dogg Has Reportedly Departed WWE

Road Dogg is no longer with WWE.

After returning to WWE in August 2022 as Senior Vice President of Live Events, Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James would eventually see himself named as one of Friday Night SmackDown’s co-head writers in February of last year.

However, his time with the company now appears to have come to an end as BodySlam are reporting that Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James is no longer with WWE.

“Sources indicate to Bodyslam that Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James has departed WWE.”

Following BodySlam’s report, PWInsider confirmed Brian ‘Road Dogg’ James’ departure and noted that the word making the rounds is that he made the decision to leave his position on WWE’s creative team, where he had been working on the SmackDown brand.

Whilst it’s currently unclear as to who will fill the void on SmackDown, Alexandra Williams revealed on LinkedIn yesterday that she has been promoted to Vice President and lead writer of WWE Raw.
