Road Dogg Says He Left WWE Creative Role To Spend More Time With Family

Road Dogg has explained his WWE exit.
On March 5, BodySlam revealed that Brian James (Road Dogg) had departed WWE, with PWInsider later reporting that his decision to step down as co-lead writer of Friday Night SmackDown and exit the company was his own.
During a virtual signing for Signed by Superstars, Road Dogg commented on the reasoning behind his departure from WWE for the first time, noting that he is looking forward to spending more time with his family.
“It was moving too fast. It was just moving too fast for me. We talked about my brothers and their grandkids, and I didn’t get to spend a whole lot of time with mine so, I’m gonna do more of that now.”

Billy Gunn participated in the virtual signing alongside his former tag team partner. Gunn is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling, though Road Dogg appeared to shut down the idea of joining him in AEW as a producer.
While Brian James appears unlikely to make his way to All Elite Wrestling any time soon, The New Age Outlaws are set to reunite at GLCW Blizzard Brawl 21 on December 5.
