ROH Death Before Dishonor was reportedly moved
On August 29, Ring Of Honor held their annual ‘Death Before Dishonor’ event. However, fans may have noticed that the show was initially advertised as happening this past Friday, September 5. At the time, not much was known about why the recent ROH show was moved on short notice, but an update has now emerged on the change.
Per Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, it’s believed that Death Before Dishonor was moved to free up Tony Khan to attend MJF’s wedding.
“Originally, the Ring of Honor pay-per-view was supposed to be Friday night (September 5), and they quietly moved it up a week. And it was because Tony Khan wanted to go to Max’s wedding, and Tony Khan is not going to miss a show. So if he’s not going to be there because they wanted him at the wedding, then there could not be a show on September 5. I know a lot of people knew that they switched it and didn’t know why. I remember I wrote that it’s because of a wedding, and this in fact was the wedding that Tony Khan went to and why Death Before Dishonor was moved up a week.”

Death Before Dishonor was a generally well-received show, with many people’s highlight being the ROH World Championship match between Bandido and Hechicero. Due to technical difficulties, the entire pay-per-view was uploaded for free onto YouTube, allowing viewers to catch up on the show if they missed any of the action.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on ROH as soon as we hear more.
