The Tribal Chief will reportedly not be at two of WWE’s upcoming international spectacles.
The future of Roman Reigns is of great internet to WWE fans right now. As we head edge to WrestleMania, the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion certainly isn’t short of challengers, but many are wondering whether Reigns will play a prominent on-screen role both before and after the company’s signature event, with it previously coming out that he isn’t expecting at February’s Elimination Chamber show in Australia.
To expand on this, Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio has said that, while Reigns isn’t scheduled to be in Perth, he’s also not expected to make an appearance when WWE head to France to put on Backlash in Lyon this May.
“Roman Reigns is not on the Australia show (Elimination Chamber). He’s not on the Paris show (Backlash in Lyon) either by the way for fans over there. He’s gonna be wrestling at the Royal Rumble, and then his next big match,he could do a TV match, but he’s gonna wrestle at the Royal Rumble and then his next match is gonna be his WrestleMania match. And after that, I would presume it’s gonna be Saudi and SummerSlam.”

Of course, this will come as disappointing news to the international fans who are planning to attend either Elimination Chamber or Backlash this year, but viewers can’t be too surprised with Reigns worked a very limited schedule. After all, it’s worth remembering that Roman only competed in a total of seven televised matches in 2023.
As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Roman Reigns’ 2024 schedule as soon as we hear more.
