Marigold

After getting released from Stardom, Rossy Ogawa announced his new promotion on Monday. It will go by the name “DREAM STAR FIGHTING Marigold” or short “Marigold”. The press conference on the WrestleUniverse YouTube Channel included the introduction of the roster which included Giulia, Utami Hayashishita, Mai Sakurai, MIRAI, and Victoria Yuzuki (FKA Yuzuki) who all left Stardom on March 31st, as well as Nao Ishikawa and Nanae Takahashi, who Ogawa started Stardom with in 2011. Three foreign wrestlers will also be joining Marigold as the promotion announced that Zayda Steel, Myla Grace, and Bozilla will be part of the first show.

It was announced that the debut show will be on May 20th at Korakuen Hall, live on Wrestle Universe and it will feature English and Japanese Commentary. As the main event of the show, Sareee teams up with a mystery partner against Giulia and a mystery partner. It is the first meeting of Giulia & Sareee inside a ring in June 2019, where Sareee was able to defeat Giulia in a Singles Match.

At the end of the press conference, Fuka and six wrestlers from the promotion Actwres girl’Z, which include Natsumi Sumikawa, Miku Aono, CHIAKI, Kouki, Chika Goto, and Misa Matsui, asked to wrestle in Marigold, which Ogawa accepted. The seven officially left their promotion not even an hour before the press conference and will now be part of Ogawa’s company moving forward.

Just a few hours later, Marigold Wrestlers appeared at the Monday Magic show of Pro Wrestling NOAH as Utami Hayashishita, MIRAI, Mai Sakurai & Giulia challenged Great Sakuya, Takumi Iroha, Miyuki Takase & Nagisa Nozaki to an Eight Woman Tag Team Match at the Wrestle Magic Show on May 4th in the Sumo Hall show. This is the first match announced for all four Wrestlers after they departed from Stardom.

The Eight started to brawl after Great Sakuya hit Rossy Ogawa, who accompanied the Marigol Wrestlers, with her Green Mist.

Stardom

Stardom held a Korakuen Hall show on Friday which featured the final matches of Giulia and Utami Hayashishita in a Stardom ring. After an undercard match, Prominence returned to Stardom to challenge Suzu Suzuki & Mei Seira to a Goddess of Stardom Tag Team Title match. Surprisingly, the match is not happening at Yokohama BUNTAI, but 6 days before in Osaka EDION #2. Suzu Suzuki was a former member of Prominence before she left the stable to join Stardom full-time. Crazy Star and Risa Sera & Hiirage Kurumi faced before in the Goddess of Stardom Tag League, when they fought to a 15-minute Time-Limit-Draw.

In her last match for the company, Giulia teamed together with her Alto Livello KABALIWAN partner Syuri against Mayu Iwatani and Hanan in a special tag team match. It was a wonderful match to end Giulia’s Stardom career as Eye Contact Tag & ALK delivered big time for the entire length and especially Hanan was awesome and stood toe to toe with two of the biggest Stars Stardom has. It ended in a 20-minute Time-Limit-Draw after Hanan hit the backdrop suplex, but before the referee could count to three, the time limit expired.

In the main event of the show, Utami Hayashishita teamed up one last time with Saya Kamitani in a Stardom ring to face Saya Iida and World of Stardom Champion Maika in a Tag Team match between the Golden Generation. A very good back-and-forth match with Utami clashing a lot with Maika & Iida with big powerhouse moves and lariats. After 19 minutes, Saya Iida was able to pin Utami Hayashishita and pick up the biggest victory of her career. Hayashishita put over 4 Wrestlers with Maika (2x), Saya Iida, Momo Watanabe, and Suzu Suzuki in the past few weeks on her way out.

During the promo, Saya Kamitani challenged Utami to an impromptu five-minute singles match, which the “Red Queen” accepted. The two AphroditE partners fought to a five-minute Time-Limit-Draw and instantly started hugging each other after their match. Utami had the chance to finish her Stardom career against her best friend Saya Kamitani, which was a great and emotional moment to end the show.

Tokyo Joshi Pro Wrestling

TJPW held a show in Takaoka on Saturday in front of 294 fans with the main event of the show being the graduation match of Juria Nagano, who is retiring from Pro Wrestling due to her activities outside of wrestling. In the semi-main event of the show, HIMAWARI, Shoko Nakajima & Wakana Uehara were able to defeat Arisu Endo, Suzume & Miu Watanabe in a Six-Woman Tag Team Match when Shoko pinned Miu Watanabe and challenged her to the Princess of Princess Championship match. HIMAWARI & Wakana Uehara saw their chance and called out Daisy Monkey to face them for the Princess Tag Team Championship. Both title matches will happen on May 6 at Korakuen Hall.

In the main event, Juria Nagano retired from Pro Wrestling, where she wrestled a final match against her Tag Team Partner Moka Miyamoto. Nagano made her debut in March of 2022, and after just two years in the business, she decided to retire to focus on her work outside of wrestling, where she is an actor and nurse. She had a short career but was a promising talent, who could have achieved great things in Tokyo Joshi Pro if she stayed in the company.
