WWE’s creative team goes beyond just Paul Levesque.

Since becoming WWE’s Head of Creative in July 2022 following Vince McMahon’s retirement, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has been positioned in a way that makes him the primary focus of praise or criticism depending on the WWE Universe’s reception to the product.

Speaking with Poker Scout, Saraya, better known to WWE fans as Paige, said that she feels Levesque is doing a great job in the role and highlighted that despite him baring the brunt of fan backlash, their are a number of people involved in the creative process.

“I’m sure everyone has an opinion on the way he runs it, no one’s ever gonna be fully happy and there’s gonna be people that are really happy with the way it’s going. I think he’s doing a great job, I feel there’s not much I can say because it’s not just him, there’s a room full of writers that are on the road and at home and there’s so many people that are writing this show. So if something’s not great, a lot of people go on the attack with Hunter and people don’t realise it’s not just him. He’s just trying to put on the best show that he possibly can. He’s the one who gets the brunt of it, and people just don’t realise there’s more people in just one person running the show.”

-Saraya

Saraya has been absent from in-ring action since the October 8, 2024 edition of AEW Dynamite, yet despite now being a free agent, she recently revealed plans to resume her wrestling training in January. You can read more about that here.

Elsewhere during the interview, Saraya reflected on her AEW Women’s World Championship victory at Wembley Stadium and the feeling that she’d never win another championship after her initial retirement. You can read more about that here.

As always, we’ll aim to provide any further updates on Saraya’s future as soon as we hear more.
